Katy is an Australian born singer, songwriter, musician & producer living in LA.

Having worked with some phenomenal people in the entertainment industry over the years such as Bruce Watson (Foreigner), Les King (Tom Jones), Willie Brown Jr (Alecia Keys, Janelle Monae), Robert Peewee Hill (Billy Preston, Sly Stone), Ken Stacey (Michael Jackson, Elton John, Madonna), Graham Ward (Tom Jones) & B-Fine/Fullforce to name a few; Katy is excited to bring some more music over this next year (2024) that feature some great musicians in genres such as Rock, Soul, RnB & Reggae; that is guaranteed to get some toes tapping. 

Katy has been in the industry (both music & tv & film) for over 30 years and has had many “pinch me” moments especially living in New York for over 5 years and being able to collaborate, perform, sing & play with some truely talented artists, writers and producers. 

Katy Tunbridge is an established songwriter, session player, backup singer, DJ and artist from Australia working with some of the greatest musicians and session players in the industry.

She writes, records and produces her original music in Los Angeles, New York and now Nashville. Katy Tunbridge continues to find new ways to create sounds in the alt pop, alt r&b and lounge markets and states that her influences include The Beatles, Sting and Joss Stone.

Katy has most recently teamed up with Grammy nominated producer Billy Smiley (WhiteHeart, Johnny Cash, Clay Aiken and BeBe and CeCe Winans), to write, record and produce a new album of all original material in the heart of Nashville, TN.

With players like Gary Lunn (Dolly Parton, Billy Ray Cyrus), Blair Masters (Peter Frampton, Garth Brooks, Barry Manilow) Dan Needham (Michael McDonald, Chicago), Jonathan Crone (Mat Kearney, Bebe & Cece Winans, Danny Gokey) she is excited to release this new material in late 2023 & 2024.

The new recordings are coming out of the famed Sound Kitchen Studios, and Peter Frampton’s Studio. Mixing will be done by legendary mixers Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, Stevie Nicks, and the Killers), and Billy Whittington (Amy Grant, Vince Gill).

In May 2021, Katy took a step of faith and moved to Los Angeles in the middle of a pandemic in pursuit of her music and acting career. Living in an RV, she was excited and hopeful for what was next; but after just a few short months of relocating, Katy sustained an injury that would pause her whole life and prevent her from singing and playing guitar. She sustained injuries to the left side of her body including her spine, ribs and neck.

Although her injury limited her ability to sing and play guitar, she could still write and create. Her determination, fighting spirit, and the support of her mother kept her going. It was around December 2021 when Katy wrote “Life’s Not Fair,” which was written in her humble RV when she was at one of the lowest points of her life. However this song; Katy hopes will unify in the sense that sometimes “Life’s Not Fair” but it’s all going to be ok.

Chilling out in the studio back in June 2022, Katy wrote ‘Baby Love” which features Katy & Willie Brown Jr on guitars and Robert “Peewee” Hill on Bass guitar.
